CRAFT BEER & MUSIC FESTIVAL
auf Wiedersehen / tschüss!!!
Dear San Clemente,
With sadness in our hearts and most likely irreparable damage to our livers, we regret to inform you that we will not be putting on the annual San Clemente Oktoberfest this year. Words (and #hashtags) cannot properly express the amount of love we have for this City and and how thankful we are to you for supporting this event over the last 5 years. Times were had, many wieners were tossed, several wieners were mishandled/broken, and laughs were plentiful. We set out on a mission 5 years ago to do something good for the City while having a blast, and boy oh boy did we succeed!!!
It’s not your fault.... you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s not you, it’s us.
We promise.
We'd like to think that SC Oktoberfest had a great life, perhaps just as we should be so lucky to do here in San Clemente. The idea came to fruition over beers, it was conceived in small parking lot in North Beach where is spent it’s childhood, it then moved up to Talega to “grow up, and find itself,” and it retired and ultimately died at the beach with a view. Now that’s not a bad way of looking at it, right? We’d kill for that life!!!
Soooooo much thanks to the City, the staff that came out each year to work their butts off, the fantastic breweries that supported us, the bands that rocked us, Rob for winning Mr. Oktoberfest like 7 out of the 5 years we did this thing, and most importantly YOU!!!!!! You, San Clemente, know how to party. Dana Point talked a some crap, but we never listened... you guys party the hardest!
Until we see you again around the streets of San Clemente . . .
PROST!!!
